STORY
When Murder by Death asked me to make a music video for “Lost River” I immediately was taken with the mythic americana inherent to the story; a bitter-sweet and dark tale of love lost and reclaimed.
METHOD
To tell a story that fit the song, I wanted the visuals to sit somewhere between picture book, stained glass and paper puppet play. I hand painted water color elements that I then animated between 2D and 3D to try and bring a dark and nostalgic children’s book to life.
